On April 24, 2025, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), in collaboration with member unit Sunway Medical Centre, successfully hosted a health-focused seminar and hospital tour.
In his opening remarks, CECCM President Mr. Ni Qingjiu emphasized that “health is the foundation of employee well-being,” and expressed appreciation to Sunway Medical Centre for providing this valuable learning opportunity. He also expressed hope for continued collaboration to further benefit Chinese enterprises in Malaysia.
Dr. Khoo Chow Huat, Managing Director of Sunway Medical Centre, welcomed participants and introduced the hospital’s state-of-the-art facilities and patient-centered healthcare philosophy.
The seminar featured a keynote presentation by Dr. Chiew Yeong Woei, who delivered an informative talk on preventive strategies and the management of common health issues, including kidney disease and hypertension. His insights emphasized the importance of early detection, lifestyle adjustments, and regular health screenings in reducing long-term health risks.
All attendees received free Body Mass Index (BMI) assessments and blood pressure screenings. Personalized health reports and one-on-one consultations with medical professionals were well received by participants.
The event concluded with a guided hospital tour, where members explored key departments and gained deeper insights into the Malaysian healthcare system. The visit fostered meaningful dialogue and opened avenues for future cooperation.
