On 16 October 2026, a delegation led by Ms. Zhou Xiaoni, General Manager of the Management Institution of the China Belt and Road Reinsurance Community, visited the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM). Both parties exchanged views on Malaysia’s investment environment, the business operations and development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Malaysia, risk management, and insurance protection needs. Representatives from China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad and CHEC Construction (M) Sdn Bhd, both Vice President companies of CECCM, as well as other members, attended the meeting.

During the meeting, both parties shared perspectives on Malaysia’s investment environment, the production and business operations of Chinese-funded enterprises, and their development needs. Discussions also covered the risk management challenges and insurance protection requirements faced by enterprises operating overseas. The exchange provided an opportunity for both parties to enhance mutual understanding and explore potential areas of cooperation in aligning insurance services with the practical needs of Chinese-funded enterprises.

As a platform for communication and services for Chinese-funded enterprises in Malaysia, CECCM remains attentive to the practical challenges and needs of its member enterprises and actively strengthens engagement with professional institutions and relevant organisations. Moving forward, CECCM will continue to serve as a bridge between its members and professional institutions in the insurance and risk management sectors, fostering exchanges and exploring risk protection services that better address enterprises’ operational needs, thereby supporting the stable and sustainable development of Chinese-funded enterprises in Malaysia.
