On 16 July 2026, CECCM held a discussion session with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR). The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on talent development and internship programmes, corporate training initiatives, university-industry collaboration mechanisms, as well as research and technological cooperation. They also exchanged views on leveraging their respective strengths, deepening collaboration among industry, academia, and research, and promoting better alignment between talent development and the needs of enterprises, while exploring more opportunities for future cooperation.

The discussion was attended by Professor Dato’ Ewe Hong Tat, President of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, and his delegation; Mr. Ni Qingjiu, President of CECCM; Mr. Yu Baoshuang, Vice President of CECCM; representatives from Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (M) Bhd, China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, and Wuhan FiberHome International (M) Sdn Bhd, all Vice President Member Companies of CECCM; as well as a representative from Guanglei Steel Structure Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, a Committee Member Company of CECCM.
