On 31 May 2026, CECCM was invited to attend the launch ceremony of the Chinese edition of The Asian Renaissance and the China–ASEAN Cultural Heritage Dialogue, jointly organised by the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration and Guangxi Publishing & Media Group.
The event marked the official release of the Chinese edition of The Asian Renaissance, authored by Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and brought together distinguished guests from various sectors to promote regional cooperation and cultural exchanges.
Remarks were delivered by the representative of Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia and spouse of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim; Mr. Chan Ming Kai, Political Secretary to the Prime Minister of Malaysia; Mr. Gao Anming, Editor-in-Chief of the China Foreign Languages Publishing Administration; Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan, President of the Malaysia–China Friendship Association and former Ambassador of Malaysia to China; Mr. Li Laiyou, Chairman of Guangxi Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd.; and Professor Zhang Miao of Xiamen University, translator of the Chinese edition of The Asian Renaissance.
Among the guests in attendance were Ms. Chang Shan, Cultural Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia; Mr. Ni Qingjiu, President of CECCM; Professor Datuk Dr. Noor Azizan Abdul Rahman, Chairman of the National Cultural Council of Malaysia; Professor Emeritus Datuk Dr. Osman Bakar, Rector of the International Islamic University Malaysia; Mr. Ng Suee Lim, Speaker of the Selangor State Legislative Assembly; Mr. Jamarulddin Zaman, Director-General of the Department of Skills Development under the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia; and Dato’ Woei Chyuan Woo, Chairman of the Malaysian Han Culture Centre, together with representatives from the cultural, academic, and business sectors.
