CECCM Transportation & Logistics Working Committee Donates to SJKC Khai Mun Repas

In line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility and support for Chinese education in Malaysia, the Transportation & Logistics Working Committee of the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), led by Mr. Sun Liguo, Chairman of the Committee and General Manager of COSCO Shipping Lines (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., organised a donation visit to SJKC Khai Mun Repas in Bentong, Pahang.

During the visit, a total of 25 laptops, along with office supplies and sports equipment, were donated to the school to enhance its facilities and support the transition towards digitalised teaching and learning.

The donated items addressed both academic and administrative needs, including digital equipment such as laptops and printers, office supplies such as laminating machines, A4 paper and envelopes, as well as sports equipment to enrich students’ extracurricular activities and promote holistic development.

Participating member companies included PG Project Logistics, Minfeng (Malaysia) Container Services Sdn. Bhd., Sinotrans (Malaysia) Logistics, SH Cogent Logistics Sdn. Bhd., and SITC Logistics Malaysia. Their generous contributions reflected the strong sense of social responsibility among Chinese enterprises in Malaysia.

The donation was received by the school’s Principal, Ms. Chong Hui Bing, Board Chairman Mr. Tan Kim Hwa, and PTA Chairman Mr. Yap Chong Wai. The school expressed appreciation for the support, noting that digital learning resources would significantly broaden students’ exposure to technology in today’s education environment.

During her remarks, the Principal also highlighted the need to upgrade the school hall, which currently lacks adequate facilities for assemblies and school activities. She expressed hope for future support from the corporate sector to refurbish the hall and install modern equipment such as an LED display, further enhancing the learning and engagement experience for students and teachers.

Mr. Sun Liguo: Supporting Education, Building the Future

In his speech, Mr. Sun Liguo commended the school’s dedication to Chinese education despite limited resources, as well as its commitment to preserving cultural heritage.

“Education is the foundation of societal development. Supporting education and nurturing the younger generation is a responsibility shared by enterprises. We hope this contribution will help create a better learning environment and inspire students to work hard and give back to society in the future.”

Giving Back to Society

PTA Chairman Mr. Yap Chong Wai expressed sincere appreciation for the contributions from the Working Committee and participating companies. He noted that the spirit of “giving back to society” demonstrated by Chinese enterprises not only improves the school’s facilities but also sets a positive example for students.

The successful completion of this initiative reflects the CECCM Transportation & Logistics Working Committee’s continued commitment to community engagement, while further strengthening people-to-people ties between Malaysia and China.
