CECCM Greets and Sends Off 45th Chinese Naval Escort Taskforce


On 2nd to 5th of May 2024, the 45th Chinese naval escort taskforce made a technical stop at Port Klang in Malaysia on May 2, for a four-day replenishment and rest. CECCM organized over 160 China enterprises members to participate in the welcoming and farewell ceremonies.  


At 9:30 a.m. on May 2nd, the 45th Chinese naval escort taskforce arrived at Port Klang. The Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People Republic of China, Ouyang Yujing attended the welcome ceremony, where over 300 people including representatives of the Malaysian military and staff of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia welcomed them at the dock.

After three days of activities and rest, on May 5th, the task force concluded their docking and commenced their return journey. Ni Qingjiu, the President of the Chinese Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), led the members in a farewell ceremony, offering well-wishes to the naval officers and sailors as they set sail.”


This year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Malaysia. The visit of the 45th escort taskforce of the Chinese Navy has witnessed the long-standing friendly relations between the two nations. CECCM will continue to play its role as a bridge in promoting business and cultural exchanges between China and Malaysia, contributing to the sustained development and expansion of bilateral relations.
