On 29 October 2026, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), in collaboration with Sunway Medical Centre, organised the “CECCM Empowerment Talk 2026 (Session 4) – Pink October Health Talk” in conjunction with the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Month (Pink October).

The event aimed to raise awareness among member companies of health management and disease prevention, with particular emphasis on women’s health.

Initiated by CECCM’s Women Entrepreneurs Working Committee, the event was attended by CECCM Vice President and Chairperson of the Women Entrepreneurs Working Committee, Ms. Geng Hao; representatives from the President company, China Communications Construction (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; Committee Member companies HQC Engineering Malaysia Sdn Bhd and China Unicom Operations (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd; and over 20 CECCM members.

During the programme, participants toured Sunway Medical Centre’s facilities and gained insights into its medical services and infrastructure. This was followed by health talks delivered by two medical specialists. Dr. Yeoh Tze Ming, Specialist in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, and Dr. Teoh Li Ying, Consultant Breast and Oncoplastic Surgeon, shared insights into breast health and related medical conditions, helping participants enhance their understanding of breast health and the importance of preventive healthcare.

Following the talks, participants attended a networking lunch and received complimentary breast examinations. Through the medical presentations and interactive exchanges, members gained further insights into women’s health issues and the importance of personal and family health management.

CECCM will continue to organise empowerment talks and related engagement activities to encourage member companies to prioritise employee health and well-being, while providing more opportunities for learning and knowledge sharing.
