On 16 July 2026, CECCM officially established its Women Entrepreneurs Committee and held an unveiling ceremony. Mr. Sun Shuqiang, Minister Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia, Mr. Ni Qingjiu, President of CECCM, and Ms. Geng Hao, Vice President of CECCM and Chairman of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee, attended the ceremony and delivered speeches.
Mr. Sun Shuqiang noted that the increasing proportion of women serving in senior management positions in Malaysia reflects the country’s respect for and recognition of women’s contributions. Against this backdrop, he said, the establishment of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee presents significant opportunities. He encouraged the Committee to fully leverage its platform by promoting collective wisdom, resource sharing, and continuous learning, while bringing together the strengths of Chinese enterprises in Malaysia. He also encouraged Chinese enterprises to draw on China’s experience in boosting domestic consumption, improving tax refund policies, and developing cross-border e-commerce, adapting these practices to the Malaysian market to identify new business opportunities while telling the stories of Chinese enterprises through concrete actions.
Mr. Ni Qingjiu stated that the establishment of the Women Entrepreneurs Committee is an important step in strengthening CECCM’s organisational structure and bringing together outstanding talent. The Committee provides a dedicated platform for female business leaders, management personnel, and professional representatives from member companies to leverage their expertise, strengthen communication and collaboration, and actively participate in the development of CECCM. He expressed hope that the Committee would bring together the wisdom and experience of outstanding women entrepreneurs, promote cooperation among member companies, strengthen ties between the Chinese and Malaysian business communities, and play an active role in business development, corporate social responsibility, and people-to-people exchanges, making meaningful contributions to the growth of member companies, the development of CECCM, and China–Malaysia cooperation.
Ms. Geng Hao said that the Women Entrepreneurs Committee brings together more than 30 member companies in its inaugural group, representing another important milestone in enhancing CECCM’s organisational framework and creating a platform that unites the strength of women in Chinese enterprises. Guided by the principles of pragmatism, innovation, openness, and win-win cooperation, the Committee will organise initiatives such as the Women’s Leadership Forum, corporate visits, business missions, and community service activities to promote communication and collaboration among member companies. It also aims to continuously strengthen its cohesion and influence while serving as a platform that empowers women in Chinese enterprises and a bridge for exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Malaysian women entrepreneurs, injecting greater “her power” into China–Malaysia economic and trade cooperation.
