In his remarks, Mr. Sun Shuqiang noted that manufacturing is an important pillar of Malaysia–China economic and trade cooperation. Mr. Yu Baoshuang highlighted that an increasing number of Chinese manufacturing enterprises have expanded and deepened their presence in Malaysia in recent years, covering areas such as manufacturing, supply chain support services, technical services, and localised operations. He noted that the establishment of the Manufacturing Working Committee aims to strengthen communication and business collaboration among Chinese manufacturing enterprises, while promoting engagement with Malaysian government agencies, local industry organisations, and business partners. Through these efforts, the Working Committee will contribute to the high-quality development of Malaysia–China manufacturing cooperation, support the orderly international expansion of Chinese enterprises, and bring quality products and services to global markets.
