On 25th June 2022, China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) organised a beach cleanup program at Pantai Redang, Sekinchan with a team of 50 volunteers. The beach cleanup program is one of the Chamber’s 20th anniversary activities, aiming to build a positive image of China enterprises as well as to build a good ecological environment for the local community.
Situated in the northern part of Selangor, Sekinchan is known as the “land of fishing and rice” with its vast paddy fields and fishing village scenery. As a famous tourist attraction in Sekinchan, the beach attracts many tourists where it also left behind a painful amount of garbage mainly plastic, but also masks, clothes, soda cans, etc., which are discarded anywhere.
The beach was cleared up and beautiful after the beach cleanup events.
