马来西亚中资企业总商会与马来西亚投资发展局(MIDA)座谈会 | China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) visited Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA)

2021年3月24日下午,总商会张敏会长与总财政杨志军率领五家中资企业到马来西亚投资发展局与主席拿督马吉德及相关官员进行座谈。

张会长感谢MIDA积极地组织了本次的座谈会,让会员们能与MIDA一起探讨中马两国制造业未来发展的机遇及目前所遇到的问题。张会长也代表总商会感谢MIDA长期以来对中资企业的支持与帮助。他表示越来越多中资企业来马投身于制造业,这为马来西亚经济发展贡献了不可忽视的力量。他也分享了中资企业在疫情之下所面临的挑战,如人员签证、政策变更、运维成本等问题。

拿督马吉德对中资企业的付出表示认可,他也希望MIDA与总商会继续保持密切的联系以推动更多可行的计划。此外,他也在会上为会员们介绍了MIDA目前所推行的新计划——商务旅客一站式中心,旨在让所有外来投资者可在出入境时享有最便利快捷的通道。

会上会员们积极参与并向MIDA反映出目前所遇见的种种问题,如外籍员工人手短缺问题再加上不能在马工作超过十年,如欲续签雇主所需承担的昂贵费用与繁琐的提交程序等问题。

有企业表示因受疫情影响,导致许多员工面对签证问题无法入境工作。因着人员短缺的问题许多原定的工作计划被迫腰斩,直接影响企业资金链断裂。MIDA在接收到会员的提问与反馈时对有关问题提出了针对性的解决方案与跟进人员。双方在会上达成了深入的探讨与沟通,并期望未来能有更多的合作与交流。

On 24th March 2021, President of China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), Zhang Min together with Treasurer of China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) Yang ZhiJun led 5 units members of China enterprises to meet the Chairman of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan.

President of CECCM, Zhang Min thanks MIDA for organizing this meeting to let members of CECCM to have the opportunities to communicate “face-to-face” with MIDA about the future development of the manufacturing industry and also the challenges that the manufacturing industries are facing. He pointed out that more and more China enterprises has come to Malaysia to invest especially in the manufacturing industry. The contributions from them are important to Malaysia’s economic. He also shared the challenges faced by Chinese companies during the pandemic, such as personnel visas, policy changes, operation and maintenance costs and etc.

Chairman of Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA), Dato’ Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan shows his appreciation and hopes that MIDA and CECCM can continue to keep close relationship to work out more plan in the future. He also introduces the newly launched One Stop Centre for Business Travelers. This is to ensure that all investor and business travellers could travel more efficiently and fuss-free.

All of the members had participated actively during the meeting discussion. Majority of them reported to MIDA the various challenges such as shortage of foreign employees coupled with the inability to work in Malaysia for more than ten years, expensive and tedious submission for contract renewal and etc.

Most manufacturing companies stated that due to the impact of the pandemic, many employees were unable to enter the country to work due to visa issues. Due to the shortage workers, the original work plans were forced to cut in half which directly affected the company’s capital chain. Both CECCM and MIDA communicated effectively at the meeting and expected more collaboration in the future.
