On 10 October 2026, Xiamen University Malaysia (XMUM) held the first session of its 8th Convocation Ceremony, attended by H.E. The China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) was honoured to attend the ceremony, represented by its President, Mr. Ni Qingjiu, and Vice Presidents Mr. Wu Jun, Ms. Geng Hao and Mr. Peng Anping.
In his address, Ambassador Ouyang Yujing highlighted XMUM’s significance as a flagship project of Malaysia–China educational cooperation and a milestone in China’s international higher education development. He commended the university’s achievements over the past decade and encouraged graduates to uphold integrity and responsibility, embrace lifelong learning, and promote cross-cultural understanding and cooperation.
CECCM and XMUM signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in 2024, establishing a strategic partnership to strengthen collaboration between Chinese enterprises and higher education institutions.
Moving forward, CECCM will continue to deepen cooperation with XMUM in talent development, student internships, employment opportunities, and industry–academia–research collaboration. Through these initiatives, CECCM aims to connect Chinese enterprises with university talent and contribute to Malaysia–China economic, educational and cultural exchanges.
