On 11 July 2026, CECCM successfully organised the 2026 “Durian Delight” Cultural Activity in Raub, Pahang, sponsored by Dunham-Bush Industries Sdn Bhd, a Vice President Member Company of CECCM. Nearly 80 members visited a Musang King durian orchard in one of Malaysia’s renowned durian-producing regions, where they learned about Malaysia’s rich durian culture and enjoyed freshly tree-ripened durians. The activity provided a relaxed and enjoyable platform for members to strengthen friendships and promote closer interaction among member companies.

Mr. Song Lihui, Deputy General Manager of Dunham-Bush Industries Sdn Bhd, delivered a speech on behalf of the sponsoring company.

Mr. Geng Hao, Vice President of CECCM, presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Dunham-Bush Industries Sdn Bhd on behalf of CECCM.

Members toured the durian orchard under the guidance of experienced growers, gaining first-hand knowledge of the cultivation, pollination, ripening, and harvesting of durians.

Participants also savoured a variety of Malaysia’s renowned durian cultivars, including Musang King, Black Thorn, Red Prawn, and Tekka. The orchard was filled with the rich aroma of fresh durians and lively conversations as members exchanged their tasting experiences in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The activity also included a visit to a local peanut factory with a history spanning several decades. Members observed the complete production process, from raw materials to finished products, while learning about the factory’s history and development. By preserving traditional craftsmanship and upholding a philosophy of dedication and integrity, the factory enabled members to gain a deeper appreciation of the entrepreneurial spirit of local enterprises and the heritage of Malaysia’s long-established brands.

From harvesting durians directly from the trees to enjoying them fresh on-site, members experienced the unique charm of Malaysia’s durian culture firsthand. Amid the fragrance of freshly ripened durians and a relaxed atmosphere, participants strengthened friendships and engaged in meaningful conversations. Many members remarked that the activity not only provided an unforgettable culinary experience but also brought member companies closer together, further enhancing the cohesion and sense of belonging within CECCM.
