CECCM Attends the 2026 Xicheng District–Kuala Lumpur Investment Promotion Conference

On 21 May 2026, the 2026 Xicheng District–Kuala Lumpur Investment Promotion Conference was held at Bursa Malaysia. Mr. Ni Qingjiu, President of CECCM and General Manager of China Communications Construction (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., was invited to attend the event and delivered a keynote presentation on the history and future prospects of Malaysia–China cooperation.

The conference was hosted by the People’s Government of Xicheng District, Beijing Municipality, and co-organised by Bank of China (Malaysia), Beijing Financial Street Chamber of Commerce, China Galaxy Securities, and Galaxy Overseas. The event aimed to promote friendly exchanges and practical cooperation between Beijing and countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, as well as the ASEAN region, while strengthening collaboration between Xicheng District and Malaysian stakeholders in the areas of trade, finance, investment, and industrial development.

The conference brought together representatives from government agencies, industry associations, financial institutions, and business communities from both Malaysia and China to exchange views on economic and trade cooperation as well as emerging development opportunities.

Among the distinguished guests in attendance were Mr. Zheng Xuefang, Minister of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia; Mr. Zhi Haijie, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Xicheng District Committee and District Mayor of Xicheng District, Beijing; Mr. Lee Thai Hung, Deputy Director-General of Tourism Malaysia; Dato’ Fad’l Mohamed, Chief Executive Officer of Bursa Malaysia; Ms. Sun Lili, Director of the Xicheng District Bureau of Culture and Tourism; Mr. Wang Qi, Director of the Desheng Subdistrict Office of Xicheng District; Mr. Wu Jun of Bank of China (Malaysia) Berhad and Mr. Peng Anping of China Construction Bank (Malaysia) Berhad, both Vice Presidents of CECCM; as well as Mr. Ge Meng of China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd, Committee of CECCM, together with representatives from member companies.
