On 11 April 2026, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) was invited to attend the opening ceremony of the “2026 China Higher Education Exhibition” (Klang Valley). The exhibition was jointly organised by the United Chinese School Committees’ Association of Malaysia (Dong Zong) and the Malaysia Alumni Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges in China.
The exhibition brought together 56 universities from China, showcasing a wide range of high-quality higher education resources and diverse academic pathways. The event attracted strong interest from students and parents, who attended to explore study opportunities and engage directly with university representatives.
His Excellency Ouyang Yujing, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Malaysia; Mr. Tan Yew Sing, Chairman of Dong Zong; Mr. Lim Kok Yuen, President of the Malaysia Alumni Association of Graduates from Universities and Colleges in China; and Mr. Chu Yun Tie, Chairman of Hin Hua High School Klang, were present and delivered their remarks.
Distinguished guests engaged with participating institutions and students, gaining insights into admission requirements and student aspirations. The exhibition also served as a platform to encourage Malaysian youth to pursue higher education in China and broaden their global perspectives.
Among the attendees were Mr. Zhao Changtao, Education Counsellor of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia; YB Leong Tuck Chee, State Assemblyman of Pandamaran, Klang; Mr. Peng Anping, Vice President of CECCM and leaders of various Chinese education and alumni associations.
