On October 15, 2024, the launch ceremony for 50 Years of China-Malaysia Friendship: Building a Shared Future Together, a comic anthology and commentary collection on people-to-people connectivity under the “Belt and Road”, was held in Kuala Lumpur. The event was organized by the Southeast Asian Cultural Research Center (SEARCH) and co-hosted by the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM).
Attending the ceremony were Zheng Xuefang, Charge d’Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, and Mustapha, Deputy Minister of Higher Education of Malaysia, both of whom delivered speeches. Representatives from CECCM’s Vice President Member Units participated in the event and group photo session, with several member companies also in attendance.
The event brought together experts, scholars, artists, and business representatives to share their insights on the evolution of China-Malaysia relations and their aspirations for the future. This gathering not only deepened resonance with the “Belt and Road” but also infused new vitality into the enduring friendship between the two nations.
The release of the comic anthology and commentary collection symbolizes the close cultural ties between China and Malaysia, marking the start of a new chapter for future collaboration and development.
