马来西亚中资企业总商会受邀与沙巴州政府代表团会谈 | CECCM - Sabah State Government Forum

2021年11月17日,马来西亚中资企业总商会(以下简称总商会)受邀與沙巴州政府代表團及马中商务理事会進行會談。总商会张敏会长、周家义秘书长及10家中资企业代表出席此次投资介绍会。与会者包括沙巴副首长兼工业发展部长拿督佐津(Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam)、马中商务理事会董事拿督杨德胜局绅及其委员、沙巴州政府、POIC拿笃机构及Invest Sabah执行官员。

拿督杨德胜在致欢迎辞时表示马中商务理事会一直在努力开拓中资企业来马来西亚投资发展的机会,此次组织总商会与沙巴州政府代表團会谈,旨在让中资企业会员们对沙巴的投资市场与经商环境有更深入的了解、搭建起双方沟通的交流桥梁,希望能够聆听中资企业对在沙巴投资的建議和期許,为彼此带来更多合作商机。

总商会张敏会长在致辞中感谢沙巴州政府一直以来对中资企业在当地的发展所给予的大力支持与帮助,他認為沙巴一直是中资企业十分看好的投资目的地,其优越的地理环境、丰富的资源及对于物流服务、制造业、旅游业等领域的巨大发展空间,都具有无限的开发潜能。他相信透过州政府在招商引资时所大力推动的各项优惠政策,未来将会有更多的中资企业被吸引前往沙巴进行投资。

沙巴州副首长兼工业发展部长拿督佐津对馬中商務理事會及總商會表示感謝,他指出中马之间的经贸交流历史悠久,沙巴与中国隔海相望,近年來随着“一带一路”的推进,沙巴与中资企业之间开启了更多元多面的合作。他指出,沙巴土地面积宽阔,可供工业建地需求提供良好的环境。其丰富的原生态资源正待开发,其中棕榈油工业更是近年来重要发展项目。他欢迎總商會會員企業日后有机会到沙巴亲自进行考察访问,多了解当地的投资环境,州政府也愿意为此提供支持与协助。

随后,秘书长周家义代表总商会向参会者简要介绍商会概况及近年发展。POIC机构与Invest Sabah首席执行官员也分别向中资企业会员代表分享其机构的业务发展与开发潜能。会上双方表示愿意与彼此保持密切沟通交流,针对日后中资企业在东马投资面对的问题进行探讨,帮助双方企业的合作走深走实。

17th Nov 2021, China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) was invited by the Malaysia-China Business Council (MCBC) to attend the “Briefing on Investment Opportunities in POIC Lahad Datu, Sabah”. President of CECCM, Mr. Zhang Min and Secretary-General of CECCM, Mr. Zhou Jiayi together with 10 members of CECCM attended the investment briefing. Sabah Deputy Chief and Minister cum Industrial Development Minister, Datuk Dr. Joachim Gunsalam, Executive Director of MCBC, Datuk Yong Teck Shing, and committee members of MCBC, the Sabah State Government officials, POIC Lahad Datu and Invest Sabah officials were present in the meeting as well.
In his welcoming speech, Datuk Yong Teck Shing stated that the Malaysia-China Business Council has been working hard to explore opportunities for Chinese companies to invest and develop in Malaysia. The objective of this meeting is to enable Chinese-funded enterprises to have a deeper understanding of Sabah’s investment market and business environment at the same time to build a bridge of communication between both sides. The exchanges about investing in Sabah will bring more business opportunities to each other.
President of CECCM, Mr. Zhang Min thanked the Sabah State Government for its strong support and assistance to the local development of Chinese-funded enterprises. He stated that Sabah has always been a very promising investment destination for Chinese-funded enterprises and its superior geographical location, rich resources and huge development space for logistics services, manufacturing, tourism and other fields. These factors have unlimited development potential. He believes that through the various preferential policies that the state government has vigorously promoted when attracting investment, more Chinese companies will be attracted to invest in Sabah in the future.
Sabah Deputy Chief and Minister cum Industrial Development Minister, Datuk Dr. Joachim Gunsalam welcomed all of the attendees. He pointed out that the economic and trade exchanges between China and Malaysia have a long history with Sabah and China face each other across the sea. In recent years, with the advancement of the “Belt and Road” initiative, Sabah has opened up more diversified and multi-faceted cooperation with Chinese companies. In his speech, he also pointed out that Sabah has a large land area that can provide a good environment for industrial construction land needs. Its rich original ecological resources are waiting to be developed, and the palm oil industry is an important development project in recent years. He welcomes members of Chinese-funded enterprises to have the opportunity to visit Sabah in person in the future to learn more about the local investment environment, and the state government is also willing to provide support and assistance for this.
For the next session, Secretary-General of CECCM, Mr.Zhou Jiayi briefly introduced CECCM. The CEOs of POIC and Invest Sabah also shared the business development of their organizations. At the end of meeting, the two parties expressed their willingness to maintain close communication with each other, discuss the challenges faced by Chinese companies investing in East Malaysia in the future to help the companies of both sides to deepen their cooperation.
