On 5 March 2026, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) held an exchange meeting with Universiti Malaya-Wales (UM-Wales) to explore potential university-industry collaboration.
Discussions focused on areas such as student internships, corporate training, applied research and talent development, as well as opportunities to strengthen education-industry linkages and develop joint initiatives that support the needs of Chinese enterprises in Malaysia.
Representatives from UM-Wales including Prof. Dr. Mokhtarrudin Ahmad, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. Ts. Log. Is. Dr. Othman Ibrahim, Director of Industry Collaboration & Strategic Partnerships, attended the meeting. Ms. Geng Hao, Vice President of CECCM, and representatives from member enterprises also participated.
