On July 12, 2025, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia(CECCM), with support from member company ZTE Malaysia, hosted a durian-themed networking event in Raub, Pahang. Nearly 80 members took part in the gathering, enjoying an immersive experience in one of Malaysia’s most renowned durian regions. The event offered a unique opportunity to explore local culture, savor the seasonal fruit, and strengthen connections among members.
The event was hosted by Ms. Geng Hao, Vice President of the CECCM, who welcomed attending member companies and expressed appreciation to ZTE Malaysia for its strong support. She noted that the gathering not only offered a chance to relax, but also created a valuable platform for face-to-face interaction, encouraging members to strengthen communication and explore opportunities for collaboration and mutual growth.
Wang Zhumiao, representing event sponsor ZTE Malaysia, shared hopes that informal gatherings like this would help foster stronger ties and collaboration among member companies. In a lighthearted moment, she gave an impromptu performance of the song “Liulian Bu Fangshou” — a play on words between “liulian” (durian) and “liulian” (reluctance to part) — cleverly echoing the event’s theme. The cheerful atmosphere left members not only with sweet memories of durian, but also a deeper sense of connection and fondness.
Vice President Geng Hao presented a certificate of appreciation to ZTE Malaysia in recognition of their support.
Members then visited a local durian orchard, where they were warmly guided by farmers through the entire process.
Members gathered to enjoy a variety of renowned local durians, including Musang King, Black Thorn, Red Flesh, and D101. The air was filled with the rich aroma of fresh fruit and the sound of laughter, as everyone enthusiastically exchanged tasting notes and shared their impressions in a warm, friendly atmosphere.
The event also featured a variety of fresh tropical fruits, including coconut water, jackfruit, bananas, and pineapples, creating an authentic “Malaysian Tropical Fruit Carnival.”
On the day of the event, members also toured a local peanut factory with decades of history. They observed the entire production process.
Attendees said the event not only delivered an authentic durian experience but also deepened the camaraderie among members. The gathering concluded on a relaxed and cheerful note.
