China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia Holds 2024 Council Meeting

On the afternoon of January 9, 2025, the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) convened its 2024 Council Meeting at the Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The meeting was chaired by Secretary-General Zhou Jiayi, with President Ni Qingjiu and Treasurer Yang Zhijun presenting key reports. All council members attended the meeting, along with representatives from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Malaysia.

In his report, President Ni Qingjiu provided a comprehensive review of CECCM’s work in 2024. Upholding its core mission of “serving members”, the CECCM has effectively integrated resources, enhanced its platform, and promoted resource sharing and collaborative development among member companies, achieving significant results. By December 2024, membership had surpassed 352 companies.

The CECCM actively collaborated with government efforts, deeply participating in a series of official events marking the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Malaysia, effectively fostering bilateral exchanges. It also made notable strides in strengthening local connections, organizing public welfare initiatives, and enriching internal activities, enhancing the CECCM’s social image and member cohesion while boosting the visibility and influence of Chinese enterprises.

President Ni concluded by encouraging member companies to aim higher, innovate, and work together in 2025 to embrace new opportunities and challenges, creating a brighter future together.

Treasurer Yang Zhijun delivered a detailed financial audit report for 2023 and, on behalf of CECCM, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all member companies for their trust and support.

He emphasized that the CECCM would continue to improve its services, offering more opportunities for communication and collaboration among members. The CECCM plans to expand the impact of its activities by introducing innovative programs, creating greater value for its members, fulfilling social responsibilities, and contributing further to Malaysian society’s development.
