On August 29, as the Mid-Autumn Festival neared, Ni Qingjiu, President of the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM), visited Sin Chew Daily’s headquarters with CECCM’s representatives. This visit aimed to strengthen ties and portray the positive contributions of China enterprises in Malaysia.
President Ni emphasized the importance of good relations with the media as Chinese business activities in Malaysia grow. He thanked Sin Chew Daily for its ongoing support and coverage to CECCM’s activities, highlighting the crucial role media support plays in enhancing the public image and responsibilities of the CECCM and its members. President Ni also noted that the Mid-Autumn Festival, symbolizing reunion and sharing, offers an excellent opportunity to deepen communication between China enterprises and the local community.
The meeting began with an overview of Sin Chew Daily’s history, underscoring its significance in Malaysia’s journalism. Chief Editor Kuik Cheng Kang spoke about the media’s societal responsibilities, particularly in promoting social harmony. He suggested future collaborations could include community service activities, enhancing the partnership further.
