On 27th November 2023, The “China-Hainan Free Trade Port – Malaysia Cooperation Promotion Conference” was held by the People’s Government of Hainan Province at EQ Hotel in Kuala Lumpur with support from the Commerce Department of Hainan Province, Hainan International Business Council, and the Malaysia Investment Development Authority. The theme of this grand event is “Sharing New Opportunities of Hainan Free Trade Port, Creating a New Future of RCEP”, aiming to promote preferential policies and investment opportunities of Hainan Free Trade Port and deepen economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between Hainan and Malaysia.

Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia, H.E. Ambassador Mr. Ouyang Yujing, and Mr. Feng Fei, Secretary of the CPC Hainan Provincial Committee, also emphasised the Port’s global significance and its synergy with Malaysia’s development priorities in areas like IT and green growth, promising enhanced Sino-Malaysian business collaboration.

Ahead of the Hainan Free Trade Port Promotion Conference, President Mr. Zhang Min participated in a luncheon organised by the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) bringing together the Hainan Province and the Malaysian business community with the purpose of deepening the connections between China and Malaysia. He underlined the deepening China-Malaysia relations, reaffirming CECCM’s dedication to fostering business cooperation between Hainan Province and the Malaysian business community.
