On 15th September 2022, China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Malaysia (CECCM) held a pre-meeting for the Transportation & Logistics Working Committee, chaired by the newly appointed President of CECCM’s Transportation and Logistics Working Committee, Mr. Song Mingzhi. The meeting was attended by Vice President of CECCM, Mr. Lyu En and representatives of the Transportation and Logistics Working Committee.

In his speech, the President of the Transportation and Logistics Branch, Mr. Song Mingzhi said that the transportation and logistics industry not only played a pivotal role during the pandemic, but also made outstanding contributions to the delivery of Covid-19 prevention items , maintaining the supply of daily goods and food and effectively promoting the resumption of enterprises’ work and production. The significance of the establishment of the transportion and logistics working committee is to unite the strength of transport and logistics industry members and build a platform for mutual help, solidarity and cooperation. He promised that the working committee will adhere to the purpose of “serving enterprises and promoting the industry”, actively build an open, healthy, cooperative and win-win transportation and logistics ecosystem, and lead the industry into high-quality development.

Vice President of CECCM, Mr. Lyu En congratulated the successful establishment of the Transporation and Logistics Working Committee. He believed this is a great significance in guiding the healthy and steady development of the logistics industry and building a communication platform between enterprises, the industry and the government. At present, the global market is changing rapidly, and all industries have higher requirements for the service level of the transportation and logistics industry, which will usher in important development opportunities in addition to transformation and upgrading.
【Work Plan of the Transportation and Logistics Working Committee】
By the unanimous agreement of the working committee, the work plan is divided into five parts.
1.To call on the Malaysian government authorities to jointly organize policy exchanges, and keep abreast of the latest industry policies and regulations.
2.To visit the state port authorities, terminals, airports, logistics parks to establish strategic cooperation.
3.To hold special seminars with local associations to answer questions and solve problems for members.
4.To build cooperation opportunities with local Malaysian company to achieve a win-win cooperation.
5.To organize members to hold cultural, sports and charity activities to enhance the positive image and influence of Chinese transport and logistics enterprises in Malaysia.
President of CECCM Transportation and Logistics Working Committee, Mr. Song Mingzhi submitted the list of the Transportion and Logistics Working Committee to Vice President of CECCM, Mr. Lyu En. The inauguration ceremony of the Transportation and Logistics Working Committee is scheduled to be held at the CECCM’s 20th Anniversary Dinner.
